Our Services
Age Concern Feltham Hanworth and Bedfont owes its existence to the interest and concern of the local community for its older residents. The local organisation is affiliated to the nationwide Age Concern but run independently by a Council of Management made up of local people, the majority being older people.
Age Concern Feltham Hanworth and Bedfont exists to promote the welfare of older people; to help; those at particular risk through isolation or disability to live at home as long as possible and to offer a positive approach to retirement for the more active pensioner.
We offer a wide range of services for older people living in our community which include:
A day centre at Feltham Lodge - open from Monday to Friday. We provide meals on a daily basis for 40 - 50 older people. Referral for the day centre can be made by anybody on behalf of an older person, as long as they are aware of the referral, including themselves, family, friends, neighbours, GPs, etc.
Social groups at local venues in Feltham Hanworth and Bedfont, these are held in the afternoons between 2.00 p.m. and 4.00 p.m. Please contact Eileen Butler for further information on (020) 8751 5829.
A carer’s support scheme, this scheme provides respite care in the home environment to give the regular carer a break. Please contact Eileen Butler for further information on (020) 8751 5829.
A free information, advice and advocacy service for older people in our area. The office at Feltham Lodge is open from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Special appointments can be made to deal with complex issues on Fridays, please contact Wendy Davies for further information on (020) 8751 5829.
Age Concern Feltham Hanworth and Bedfont has a very small staff team, to provide our high quality services for the local older community we rely on the support of volunteers. Volunteering opportunities are available as office volunteers, day centre helpers, kitchen volunteers, driving or escorting on our buses or shop volunteers in our charity shops based in Feltham and Bedfont.
