Welcome to Age Concern Feltham Hanworth and Bedfont News 2008

Anne Rogers, Chief Officer will be retiring at the end of December 2008.   For 10 years Anne worked on behalf of the organisation as the Finance Officer in a self employed capacity before being employed by the organisation 9 years ago when she was appointed as the Chief Officer.   Staff will be celebrating with Anne and wishing her well at an evening out on the12th December 2008.

On 12th September 2008, Eileen Butler, Deputy Chief Officer reached a milestone 20 years of service.   Joyce Cross, then Chair of The Council of Management, joined staff in celebrating this achievement and presented Eileen with a beautiful bouquet of flowers as a token for all her hard work for the organisation during that time.

19th September 2008 was International Talk like a pirate day, many of the staff threw themselves into the celebrations and spent the whole week (15-19) dressed as pirates, activities were piratically inspired, including a treasure hunt, and the building resounded  with shouts of ‘Avast behind’ and ‘Arghhhhhhhhhhh’ everyone had a great week and some substantial press coverage helped to raise the profile of the organisation.
